The about page – this one – is a work in progress.  As a brief placeholder:

My name is Steve. My son (age 4) and my daughter (almost 2) occupy most of my free time.  When they aren’t monopolizing my attention I’m spending time with my wife or – unfortunately – doing contract consulting for corporate audit and finance departments in New York and Florida, where I live.  I’ve been working in the audit and controls field for over 15 years, first in public accounting, then in internal audit and now in contract consulting.  I’m slowly moving towards being an independent consultant, and I’d welcome any contact with anyone who’s done the same.  I also maintain another blog, brip blap.
